How much does a business website cost in Egypt?

Short answer: In Egypt, a professionally built business website typically costs EGP 20,000–50,000 for a landing page or small static site, EGP 50,000–100,000 for a larger bilingual or dynamic site, and EGP 100,000+ for sites with booking, e-commerce or custom integrations. The final price depends on the number of pages, Arabic/English support, custom design and the features you need, plus yearly running costs for the domain, hosting and maintenance.

What drives the cost of a business website?

The biggest cost driver is scope: how many pages you need, what each page must do, and how much is designed and built from scratch. These are the factors that move a quote up or down:

  • Site type: a landing page is a single page built around one offer or campaign; a static website has several fixed pages such as home, about, services and contact; a dynamic website has a content management system so your team can add services, articles, doctors or products without a developer.
  • Number of pages and layouts: ten pages that share one layout cost less than ten pages that each need their own design.
  • Arabic and English: a bilingual site needs a right-to-left layout, translated content and two versions of every page, which adds design, development and testing time.
  • Custom design vs template: an original design based on your brand takes more hours than adapting an existing theme.
  • Booking or e-commerce: appointment booking, online payment, carts and order management are real software features and usually move a project into a higher band.
  • Integrations: connecting the site to WhatsApp, a CRM, a clinic system, a payment gateway or an ERP adds development and testing work.
  • Content and photography: copywriting, translation, product or team photography and video are often priced separately from the build.
  • SEO groundwork: fast loading, a clean page structure, meta tags, a sitemap and a correct bilingual setup take effort up front but save you from rebuilding later.

Which budget band fits your type of site?

As a rough guide, the type of site you need points to a budget band, and the features inside it decide where in that band you land. These are the bands MAZCODEX typically quotes:

Site typeTypical budgetWhat it usually includes
Landing pageEGP 20,000–50,000One page for a campaign or service, a contact or WhatsApp form, mobile-first design, basic SEO
Small static websiteEGP 20,000–50,000A handful of fixed pages (home, about, services, contact), contact forms, Google Maps, basic SEO
Larger or bilingual static websiteEGP 50,000–100,000More pages, full Arabic/English with a right-to-left layout, custom design, a stronger SEO setup
Dynamic websiteEGP 50,000–100,000A content management system, a blog or news section, service and team pages your staff can edit
Website with booking, e-commerce or integrationsEGP 100,000+Appointment booking, an online store, payments, CRM or system integrations, user accounts

These ranges are a starting point, not a fixed price list. A small static site with heavy custom design and photography can cost more than a simple dynamic one, so the only accurate figure is a quote based on your actual scope. You can see how the package types differ on our packages page.

What are the running costs after the website goes live?

A website has yearly running costs on top of the one-time build price, and you should include them in your budget from the start:

  • Domain name: renewed every year; the price depends on the extension, such as .com or .com.eg.
  • Hosting: the server or hosting plan that keeps the site online, renewed monthly or yearly; dynamic sites, stores and busy sites need stronger hosting than a simple landing page.
  • Maintenance: security updates, backups, small content changes, bug fixes and monitoring, usually as a monthly or yearly plan.

Ask every agency what is included after launch, for how long, and what a change request costs once that period ends. A cheap build with expensive or unclear maintenance often ends up costing more over two or three years.

Should you choose custom code or a ready-made template?

A ready-made template is cheaper and faster to launch, while custom code costs more up front but fits your business exactly and is easier to grow. The right choice depends on what the site has to do:

  • Templates suit a simple brochure site or a quick launch: lower cost and a shorter timeline, but your site may look like many others, carry unused code that slows it down, and become hard to change when you need a feature the theme does not support.
  • Custom code suits businesses that need a distinct brand, strong performance, a proper Arabic/English experience or features such as booking and integrations: you get a site built around your workflow, and adding features later does not mean starting over.

In the projects we deliver, the deciding question is usually what the site must do in two years, not only on launch day. If you expect to add booking, a store or a connection to your internal systems, building on a custom base from the start is usually the cheaper path overall.

How do you compare website quotes fairly?

Compare quotes on what is delivered, not only on the total, because two offers with the same price can cover very different work. Before you decide, check that every quote answers the same questions:

  • How many pages and page designs are included, and is the design custom or a template?
  • Are both Arabic and English versions included, with a proper right-to-left layout?
  • Who writes and translates the content, and are photography or video included?
  • Which features are included: forms, WhatsApp, booking, payments, integrations, content management?
  • What SEO work is done: speed, meta tags, a sitemap, Google Search Console setup?
  • Who owns the domain, the hosting account and the source code after delivery?
  • What is the timeline, how many revision rounds are included, and what does maintenance cost after launch?

Ask to see live sites the agency has built and open them on your phone. A quote that is far below the others usually leaves something out, such as the content, the Arabic version, SEO or support after launch.

Frequently asked questions

How long does it take to build a business website in Egypt?

It depends on scope: a landing page or small static site can usually be delivered in a few weeks, while a dynamic, bilingual or e-commerce website takes longer because of design, content, development and testing. Projects move fastest when the content and photos are ready early.

Is a cheap website builder enough for my business?

A builder can work for a very simple or temporary site. For a business that depends on Google search, Arabic and English visitors, booking or integrations, its limits on speed, design, SEO and ownership usually become a problem as you grow.

Are the domain and hosting included in the website price?

It varies between agencies, so ask directly. The domain and hosting are recurring yearly costs, and the domain should always be registered in your company's name so you stay in control of it.

Do I need a dynamic website?

You need a dynamic website if your team will add or update content regularly, such as services, articles, doctors, branches or products. If your content rarely changes, a static website or a landing page is usually enough and costs less.

If you want an accurate figure for your project, MazWeb builds fast, secure, SEO-ready Arabic/English websites for businesses and clinics, from landing pages to dynamic sites. Tell us what your site needs to do through our contact page and we will send you a quote that lists exactly what is included.
